It started out a little rough as they didn’t have my correct room type on record so I had to wait for them to contact the booking agency They confirmed my correct room type Then we were still put in the incorrect room so we ended up in the son for about 30 minutes waiting on keys to a new room

Once we got to the correct room it was nice with the exception of someone else’s hair products still being in the room and the dryer not working There was also no cart to take our luggage up But let me tell you the room was beautiful and the beds were absolutely comfortable We did spend time at a time share preview but as promised we got valuable information and will be seriously considering becoming members as well as we got some amazing gifts Overall the stay was amazing and there was plenty to do with the kids We definitely enjoyed the pool at the beach club and the private beach area We will be going back!

Kayla Mullaney

Beautiful place with the friendliest workers Overall peaceful great environment The one thing I did not enjoy was the overwhelming amount of locals

The water park is not worth the price due to it being overcrowded So over crowded that we asked for a refund and returned to the pool Once at the pool it was great, until later hours a large group of gentlemen came and started playing football in the pool making it dangerous for children If they could fix that issue… it would be highly recommended

Haley Earls

I stayed here as part of a large group for a family reunion The location and grounds itself was great with the exception of the distance between everything and the lack of lawn maintenance There are 4 pools on the property but we only went to 2 of them – the one behind registration was our favorite

Our room was in the Lakeside area which was about a 2 minute drive from the main entrance The 2 bedroom villa we were in could use some updating but it fit our family of 5 great It was listed as 2 queens, but the beds seemed smaller than that One of the bedrooms had the jacuzzi tub surrounded in mirrors, across from the toilet, with no door Kinda strange The other bathroom had a tiny single person shower I don’t feel like the Google photos show an accurate representation of all of the different room types because I only saw jacuzzis with curtains and tub/shower combos shown We spent a few hours at the water park with our kids ages 3, 5, and 10 They all had fun but it’s easy for them to get bored after a while The one day tickets are more than enough to enjoy the water park The activity center is great with the arcade, games, restaurant and coffee bar The coffee was really good! I would recommend this place, but I do believe they need to make some updates to the rooms, keep the grass cut, and look off property for a spot to hold a large reunion (50+) I would suggest dinner at Bruno’s Pizza & Pasta on FM 2493

Absolutely gorgeous property! We stayed in Joshuas Cabin and I wouldn’t have changed a thing It’s easy to get to, the cabin itself was the perfect size for two people and the bed was comfortable Coffee is provided for brewing and there is a microwave

We had our mountain bikes to go to Tyler State Park and the ATV/hiking trails on this property made for excellent short distance uphill and downhill riding The shower house is clean and the water is hot Great fire pit for sitting around after dark Just perfect!I needed to get away from my house because work-from-home was killing me and this was AMAZING

Sonja Deupree

We had such a wonderful time! Our night at the cabins was a gift from my sister, and we enjoyed our time so much The property is only about 45 minutes from our home, which was a bonus as we never have time for a get-away The owner was very kind and worked with us on the scheduling, as I procrastinated and almost waited too late to get it worked in

It’s a nice remote, quiet area with lots of trees, the cabins have so much character and there are lots of trails to explore We didn’t bring our poles, but there’s a nice lake on the property as wellWe had heavy rain storms, and it was nice to sit inside and listen to the rain on the metal roof The wood for the cabins is milled on the property, which was homesteaded by the family in the 1800’s (I love family history)The cabins are small, and the showers are at the ‘Bathhouse’, but we had everything else we needed for a quick get away Because of the heavy rain, we didn’t get to hike as much as we wanted to, but we enjoyed the hike we were able to get in, with the resident ‘guide dog’ She was so sweet, took us all the way up to the top of the trail, and made sure we got back to the cabinI hope that we’re able to get back to Wood Haven soon, I would definitely recommend visiting!!

Unpleasant stay: I left these comments for the hotel and never heard back I think they are just taking profits and don’t care about their hotel Elevator smells like a bad locker room

Room was adequate and bed was good I could not iron my shirt because the iron left black spots on the shirt Ugh I wanted to read at night, but the night light had a short in it Wanted coffee in the morning but there were no cups to make coffee Of they cared about their hotel, these are easily fixable issuesbut they obviously don’t

Lori Hinchman

First time I stayed here was 2014 and it was a beautiful place, came back last night and wow what a difference Walking in there was a beer can in the drive and the trash was so full, it was overflowing i told Nick and he looked like a dear in headlights

( checked in at 2:30) Went to my room for a nap When i came down to go and get dinner the trash outside was still the same I told BIG Chris and when i got back he had taken care of it He is awesome Morning time, Carmen made me the best latte with her best personality! Love her she is a keeper for sureI went out on the patio to enjoy my latte and the patio was a disgrace, cigarette butts everywhere and just nasty I paid over $15000 for one nightVery disappointed on the care that this hotel is not getting!

The service was outstanding! The rooms were clean and comfortable!! The facility was nicely maintainedAlso, I can’t thank them enough for their dedication and honesty to those of us who stay with them The young lady who services the rooms went over and beyond when I left my IPad in the room

We had checked out early in the morning and had a 7 hour drive ahead of us We had already traveled a few hours when we received a call from the hotel that I had left my iPad and holder in the room! Neither one of us had even known it was missing and probably would not have until we got home Thankfully we had family in the area that was able to pick it up for us I will never forget their honesty and integrity in dealing with my left items To the lady who services those rooms; thank you from the bottom of my heart!! Never take a great hotel for granted!!

Birdie

I looked at several hotels in the area and wanted one with a pool (my son was dying to go swimming) Several available hotels had pools, but what swayed me to book here were all of the reviews mentioning the cleanliness of this hotelWhen we arrived for our stay, the pool was down – completely drained and being worked on

This wasn’t mentioned on the site or I wouldn’t have booked here My son was super bummed out, but I figured at least the room will be clean which was my personal #1 concern Except it wasn’t There was change on the bathroom floor, so obviously that was never cleaned, as well as trash on the bedside table Desk was covered in stains, coffee makes was unplugged and I had to pull out the fridge to reach the plug and get it hooked back up, only to find the coffee maker was stickyPillows were lumpy and incredibly uncomfortable I’m sad that my experience was the opposite of so many reviews I usually do airbnb’s but as this was only a 1 night stay, I figured a hotel would do just fine Lesson learned

I wish I had noticed the name of the man who checked us in He was *amazing*

very efficient, very friendly and very service oriented He remembered me from when I had called earlier to let them know we would be checking in late I didn’t reserve the room I thought I reserved so he helped me get the room I needed to fit myself and my daughters All the employees I interacted with were great! The room was well appointed, clean and spacious and we enjoyed the Dove brand soaps/shampoos The common areas were all clean and smelled goodThe pool area is clean and gorgeousThe only negative comment I’d make is that the breakfast area was extremely cramped It was very, very busy and they had a whole area in the dining room roped off where no one could sit

Consuelo Garner

This hotel is GREAT! They really go out of their way to make sure you have a very good stay The location is perfect with many good restaurants close by The breakfast they offer is very complete and delicious

The pool area is very nice We would stay there every time Elvira in house keeping is really nice and very fast in helping us Love it!!

Jeff Chua

The meeting hall cost $500 but is consumable- meaning you can deduct the cost of food, find, others from it It does come with a 21% service charge plus taxes but I think it was worth it One meeting hall can sit around 50 people or 25 people of you have tables

We booked 2 meeting halls for 150 people for a church service Place was clean, ac was cold and area was quiet Food was also great One drawback was that it’s driveway was a bit tricky Make a wrong turn and you end up in the neighboring Best Western Also, when we had our booking, they were putting in stone papers at the entrance at the time so it kind of looked like a bit of a disaster Krystle McGee was the booking manager we transacted with and she was very nice and professional

I stayed at Rosevine for a nursing travel assignment and couldn’t be more pleased to have chosen to stay here I stayed in the Texas Legends room Bert and Becca are absolutely wonderful and treat you like their own family

Any issues were quickly addressed through e-mail with Bert’s assistant, Emily The house and each room is decorated beautifully Enjoy some time in the hot tub, media room, or the charming barn You can tell a lot of thought and effort is put in to make Rosevine Inn the place to stay If you’re looking for a place to stay for your travel assignment in Tyler or even a weekend getaway, I would definitely recommend Rosevine Inn! We were hosting a wedding in town and had a block of rooms booked We also used one of the meeting rooms as a hospitality suite The staff was amazing!! We had better and friendlier service than the last 5 star hotel I hosted an event at

Mary Ann, and front desk staff and cleaning crew bent over backwards to make sure everything was taken care of for our guests Thank you – well done Residence Inn Tyler!

Padre Cazo

The staff is wonderful The hotel is perfect for extended stays That said, how can you have bad internet connectivity in this day and age

What clown is running their IT/Facilities? Connections dropping and unreliable bandwidth made it impossible to work here If you can’t attend a video conference in this day from your hotel, the hotel is worthless Moving to a Hampton Inn they never fail me The kitchen was not worth it To bad

Kelsey Stacks

Gotta say with our current stay here due to insurance reasons, the room cleaning has been terrible with constant requests for several weeks (no vacuuming/sweeping, change of bed sheets, etc), on top of something smelling rotten/dead in the air vents, and the only people who seem to do their job are the cooks and the people at the front desk (I thank you so much if y’all are reading this) The complementary breakfast, gym, and pool have been nice, however the lack of care in everything else has deminished the enjoyment of the stay here

I have stayed at other places in Tyler, but this stay was much more pleasant The front desk staff greeted me very warmly when I arrived with my teenage son Ashley was genuinely enthusiastic and treated me as nicely as I had hoped, being a Marriott Rewards member

The breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage, muffins, yogurt, cereal, fruit and even pre-made waffles It was better than other hotels in the area The room was very comfortable and not unusually noisy We had a toilet that needed a new flapper, but that was repaired on the same day that I mentioned it The maid service was equally as friendly Teressa was very nice and asked what she could do to make our stay even better Other than an extra towel, the stay was terrific This is my “go to” place when I stay in Tyler

Rebekah Arber

If I could rate it 0 I would! Definitely regret staying here I’m a Marriott member and this is the WORST hotel I’ve ever stayed at When I first checked in the room I received had two queen beds and the TV did not work

I had booked a king bed I called downstairs they move me rooms and when I went into the other room it was still two queen beds but this time the TV worked when I called downstairs and I talk to the night though they informed me that they sold out on king bed… even after the lady at the front desk lied and said The next room was a king? It was already almost 12 o’clock at night when I checked in due to where I was traveling from for my sons appointment in Tyler So I decided to just go ahead and stay the night tonight and change hotels in the morning Unfortunately my son‘s surgery did not go the way I planned so I ended up having to stay another night at the hotel due to just not being able to move all our stuff as a single mom by myself It was disgusting in the room the bathtub drain has mold on it, The TV never worked truly, The beds had left over food from other guest in it I booked from Sunday until Wednesday and today is Monday and I’m checking out tomorrow before 12 And I will never be returning to this hotel ever again Oh and not to add their pool is completely closed and their hot tub has caution tape wrapped around it and is completely drained!! DONT STAY HERE!!! I honestly wish my Marriott app will let me write this hotel because I would rate it a zero in for the same exact review!

Mrs. P Lewis

The room was clean and I had a nice size fridge, microwave, coffee set and when I needed an extra blanket they brought me a very nice hot blanket that just came out of the dryer The staff was great and it was kid friendly The location is great with a big Goodwill thrift store right next door incase you need something extra or just want to shop

Excellent serviceExcellent cleanlinessEverything worked

Date: JulyRoom: Coastal RoomIf I could give 45 stars, I would, as our stay truly was spectacular, and I hope to go againBut I gave 4 stars because, considering the price, there were a couple things that could have been better1) We stayed in the Coastal Room The bed in that room is along the same wall as the bathroom in the next room So I had just fallen asleep when the other guest started a bath or shower It was right next to my ear and woke me with a start as there is not much white noise in the room, even with a fan (that works great) and a personal AC There just isn’t good insulation in the walls and not an ideal placement of the bed The second night, I used a white noise playlist on Spotify and that worked2) Speaking of the AC Works great, we kept it fridgid while there But the display functions as a night light which kept me up after the above described awakening The next day I discovered that you can turn this off (See photo) You’re welcome 😜3) the water gets wonderfully hot BUT when first using it, I was only getting icy water This ended up being because the “hot” and “cold” markings on the faucet are backwards (See photo – there is a sun and a snowflake) This seems like it would be a simple fixI LOVED the private back porch It doesn’t have AC, but with the fan, it is quite nice, even in July Just know if others are in their porches, they can’t see you, but they can hear you!

We were in town for the Rose Festival and came in on Thursday to could experience Kiepersol beyond just a wine tasting We did the wine tour + tasting upon arrival around lunch time, enjoyed dinner at the restaurant and had a nice overnight stay in the Paarl Room at the main B&B This room is on the corner overlooking mother nature and has a well appointed + large screened in outdoor patio with plenty of seating and a fan

Upon request, we were also shown the Cottage and Stable House because this was a girls weekend and we want to bring the guys back The B&B is great for a girls weekend or a couples get away!

Hotel needs a DEEP CLEAN!!! Like serious DEEP CLEAN!!! The staff was very kind but couldn’t resolve the TV remote issue After working on it for over an hour and 4 remotes later it still did not work Drove 5 hours and just wanted to relax when we arrived before heading out for the evening

The several asks to provide what I paid for in our room was never received I paid extra for the amenities that were not in the room when we arrived and never showed up Extremely frustrating! As well as the hot tub is NOT hot! Its like a small pool with jets What is the point?! This could be a wonderful place but the Hilton brand name did not hold up to the standards we expected upon arrival

Checked into my room and checked the bedding like I do in every hotel I stay at and there were many hairs in the sheets, and random dried (not been washed) stains on the sheets and comforters The room smelled like gym shoes, and the couch had a large dark stain on the cushion Only reason I leave two stars is because the woman at the front desk who booked me a new room was very nice and helpful Continuing, the hallway carpets are atrocious I’ve seen cleaner motel carpets Heck I’ve even seen cleaner frat house carpets Checked into my new room and the bedding was clean but the bed skirt looked like a 5 year old tried to put it on, the couch was also stained, the kitchen sink smelled so bad I had to put the plug in it, and went to get a water glass out of the cabinet only to find that there was lipstick on both the glasses I selected I would have ran a load of dishes, but the dishwater was already full upon arrival There was also something that looked like blood on the door stop and toilet seat in the bathroom Didn’t even dare open the refrigerator out of dread of what I would find

I don’t write reviews often, but I felt I needed to in this case First of all, the entire staff was very friendly and very helpful However, Christine Robertson (the operations manager) was one of the nicest people I have ever interacted with period

She was always super nice and helpful and went out of her way to make us feel welcome Our room was clean and well stocked I absolutely have nothing bad to say about our experience Definitely recommend

I could not know where to begin there should be a six star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the staff to the campsites amazing facility Had a great weekend there definitely will be going back several spots have beautiful view of the lake

The staff was so friendly and constantly stopping by checking on us Had a small issue with their water valve on our campsite but they came out and turned it on and turned it off with the master key Other than that everything was amazing I can’t talk hardly enough of the people that work there I hope this gets to the owner and he realize what a great crew that he has there I’ve only been camping for about three years been to several parks this is unbelievable Also a great place to fish I did not catch anything but I did try it was probably a little too cold and too windy But other than that this is amazing campsite keep up the great work Thank you

The Boulders campground and retreat offers everything: RV and tent camping and wonderful cabins We rented a cabin there for a anniversary present for my brother and wifeWe chose the Boulders because it’s beautifully maintained, it’s on a gorgeous area of Lake Tyler and the setting is perfect in every way

The cabins face the lake and have everything you need: seating areas, great views, kitchen, living room, beds and bathroom, all very well designed, clean, modern and new You can bring your boat, fish, rent kayaks, bicycle around the beautiful tree canopied roads or just relax on your deck It’s the very best place to go in Tyler to spend the day or a weekThe management of this gorgeous property couldn’t have done a better job We love it!

We can’t say enough good things about Paul, the owner of The Boulders He is very hands on and involved with every aspect of this beautiful place The first day we were there, the electricity hookup on the site for our RV was not working, and Paul spent hours trying to get it to work

He eventually had to order a part, and we had to change sites, but he stopped by several times to make sure we were doing okayThe Boulders is very well run, and in talking to others who were there, it’s obvious that many families come to The Boulders year after year, which is a wonderful endorsement for how great a place it isWe will definitely come back Thank you to Paul, and to Ray and Janet (who both work with Paul) for making us feel so welcome
