Hampus Engstroem

I really enjoyed this hotel! The foyer was super nice and stocked with bars, a shop, a starbucks and a breakfast space It had several big conference rooms that served the purpose for our meeting, and the lunch they served for us was always tasty! The rooms were very standard though Like always there was an old carpet on the floor, and the bathroom had a shower curtain instead of glass, etc

Not bad, just basic I will say that the bed was extremely comfortable though!Overall the hotel was really good, just needed some updating in the rooms for it to really become that 5-star experience

Erin Valtinson

Room had a great view and the bed was fairly comfortable The bathroom also had a nice mirror and a waterfall shower Could tell some areas hadn’t been cleaned well in a long time (crumbs and grime), and there was no microwave in our room which is weird for a 4 star hotel in my opinion

If you’re sensitive to dryness and staying for more than a day or two, bring a portable diffuser or humidifier My room was incredibly dry to the point that both my roommate and I would wake up with coughing fitsThe food and access to other areas of downtown Boston is great, but be prepared for food and drink to be on the higher side of a price range Most of the restaurants and bars are expensive The Birch down in the lobby had good food, drinks were hit or miss and overpriced for what you were getting The pub restaurant has a great chowder and chopped salad that I highly recommend

Aina Ramanantseheno

Great experience during our stay here I wish they’d add a microwave oven in the room The hotel is located near many amenities and restaurants and close to waterfront which was great to walk around

Staff was friendly, room was clean and we could check-in earlier than expected which was appreciated Breakfast was included in our package and it was delicious (go before 9am if you can to avoid the lineup)The only thing is the parking situation, we were lucky because we got there early and there were still a few spots left but I wouldn’t advise going in and out once you’re in because it was full and you’ll need to use valet parkingBut overall great stay!!

Potjamarn Arpornratn (Yui)

This hotel is recommended by our colleagues I love the location as everything is in walking distance from the hotel There is daily housekeeping

As a matter of fact housekeeping come in and fill ice for us every evening If I didn’t have to work during weekday, I would have enjoyed all the summer events more Definitely recommend this hotel I’ll update with more photos later

Chris Davis

My wife and I were married here 32 years ago when it first opened and it was spectacular We returned last week to have a drink at the terrace restaurant and after checking in and waiting for our table to be cleared, the host came back and told us that we had to order dinner not just drinks to be able to sit outside He asked if we were going to order food and we said not after this experience and left

Terrible customer service for what was once a great hotel

Celia Pearce

Summer in the City at the Harborwalk Terrace – Sitting outside with a view of the harbor listening to good music was great; food was delicious but overpriced, the staff is super nice but overworked The hotel is apparently too cheap to keep the venue properly staffed when they have a promoted weekly event they know will be crowded, which is a shame because it made an otherwise nice experience unnecessarily frustrating Considering this is an allegedly “posh” with a room rate of $700 + you’d think they could afford to adequately staff the event

I chose this hotel as a getaway after being at home with my children for 2 years with no break (like most people across the world) I really wanted to treat myself to the best Unfortunately, i would have had the same service/ experience or better at a much less expensive hotel

They were overbooked and understaffed Sadly the service and comfort was horrible all aroundThe only plus were the services at the spa…those were outstanding

Daymeyn Gantt

We were excited for our first visit to The Mandarin in several years I wish we had more time to spend at the hotel, which was marvelous, but our calendar was quite packed outside the first day While looking for last minute brunch suggestions around town, the concierge Paul, assisted us with the perfect spot

He even offered to arrange reservations at Ramsay’s Kitchen for dinner This assistance was the excellent service one would expect to receive at The Mandarin!

Mark Doty

This is the best hotel in Boston – hands down I’ve stayed there twice in the last few years It’s a smaller, boutique-like experience

The staff remember your names The concierge is very helpful with anything you ask of them The staff knew that we were brining 2 kids with us and so they had toys and a crib in the room already when we arrived – very proactive customer service They treated our kids like royalty – which is a major plus for any parent Whenever we go back to Boston, we will definitely be staying there, even it it’s out of the way for usPS The same can’t be said for the Mandarin Oriental in Miami – their service wasn’t so great and not worth the visit

As an ex-consultant in my past life I’ve been loyal to the Marriott brands and have stayed at various Marriott properties This is a standout property and one of the top W locations in my opinion Jonathan helped check me into my room and I was so lucky to get to check in early after my red eye flight

The shower was extremely high pressure which felt amazing Whenever I needed something, it was delivered to my room promptly They are also offering breakfast credit at their restaurant for Platinum or higher members I really felt like my status was valued and would stay again on future travels to Boston

Sean Hunter

Great clean and modern rooms Mini bar on point The bed was really comfortable

Marcus Lewis

Exceptional! The W Boston is a wonderfully clean and friendly hotel located near Boston Common I was welcomed as an Ambassador Elite member and given a wonderful welcome gift The front desk staff is friendly and the bartenders are amazing! The restaurant is good but food quality could be improved a bit

The rooms are beautiful! The MOMO bath products are wonderful and the robes are comfortable I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to my return

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now Once two years ago right after it opened and just last week The decor has aged well and both stays were pleasant

The bed was comfy and the room and common areas clean This is a very dog friendly property The elevators are fast enoughThe rooms include a small kitchenette adequately equipped with utensils, plates, pots, toaster, coffee maker etcThe room included two eating bars with two stools and an extremely comfy sectional The bathroom had a large walk in shower with a rainfall shower and the option of a handheld wand (great for small kids or your dog) The water pressure was good but could have been a tad warmerParking is a lot adjacent but a bit of a walk I’ll stay here again Very good free breakfast

Keith Pfeifle

Great Hotel, the room was spacious and the kitchenette was very nice to have The down stairs area pool and lobby where both fantastic Hotel staff was very helpful

It was a short walk to the Silver Line and a longer walk to the Red Line The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5, was the breakfast My wife loved the breakfast, personally I felt it was a bit froufrou I prefer the standard breakfast offerings at hotels, but I got to draw the line at buckwheat pancakes w/ Nutella It wasn’t a bad breakfast, just not what I like We will definitely consider staying there again A good hotel can either make or break a vacation, this place help make a great vacation

Ryan Whedon

The room was great, I booked this because of my experiences are generally good at this brand Front desk was hot and cold, never a consistent experience This hotel definitely did not have the Heavenly Bed, which was a bummer as I needed a good night sleep

Breakfast was alright, nothing worth waking up for however 1/2 mile walk from the Silver Line which is convenient if you came from the airport like I did

Love coming here and seeing a lot familiar faces Sitting at the bar is one of the ways to treat myself and my friends The menu is always fantastic and the service is always above and beyond

This place has something so special going: class, uniqueness and love for what real hospitality should be I visit sometimes just to get inspiration Thank you and keep being special!

Chris Holding

I’ve been staying at this hotel for years this is my first time back since covidThey have done away with conciergeThey can no longer get doctors to the hotel, every other four seasons I stay at as a house doctor and conciergeThe irons are appalling, so cheap used to be good

Breakfast room now on the 2nd floor same view yet much smaller If you are on a table of 2 you have to sit on a tiny table in a small bar The chairs in the breakfast room are ikea like moulded uncomfortable chairsRooms as always are fantastic and housekeeping staff are exceptionalRoom service the only word to describe it is ‘overpriced shite’Cheap poor coffee shop on the first floorThey have thee most American thing ever a glass door called the vault… full of free candy and chips something more accustomed to a Marriott rewards customerNot the standard it used to be by a country mile Great location and facilities the health club is still fantastic The prices if anything have gone up yet the services have gone drastically downhill

Sam Faden

I have stayed here many times pre-Covid and cannot say one bad thing about this FS location From the ambiance, to the charm, to the service, and comfort, I always feel at home The fresh arrangement of flowers in the lobby that are refreshed quite frequently are a great bonus too

I recently had to cancel a reservation I booked due to circumstances out of my control and used the new texting feature which was seamless from start to finish Thank you, Lucas, behind the texts, for your swift responses and extraordinary help I cannot wait to rebook very soon

This was my home away from home for 2 weeks The hotel was modern, clean and staff were great! Lots of parking if you have a vehicle (i didn’t) 2min walk to the T station, which was so convenient

Great breakfast too!Shout out to Janaea and Clint especially, you guys are so awesome! Keep up the great work!!!Going forward, this will be the only place I stay when I’m in Boston

Jonathan Kim

Nice location as it is right by the red line into downtown Boston Also pet friendly with additional $100 per night $15 per night per car for parking

Breakfast was available and it had a pretty good spread There is a night bar which we didn’t check out since we have kids but the hotel in general was kid friendly as well Worth the stay if you are stopping for a day by Boston and driving through

Paige Richmond

We stayed for over a week and their card service consistently never worked Their staff had to guide us to our room everyone, so it was always a hassle to get into the room we paid for Some staff are friendly, while others act annoyed when they have to help guests

Also, we have to constantly ask for toilet paper and clean towels, etc The rooms are pretty nice and breakfast is OK It’s right near the North Quincy T stop which is convenient

I enjoyed my stay The room was clean, comfortable, and plenty of amenities; however, I recommend bringing earplugs to sleep The guest that stayed next to our hotel room were noisy and we were able to hear everything in our room

The windows did not block out the busy city noises at night but that was expected Nonetheless, the staff was friendly and attentive, the breakfast buffet was delicious, and I liked how the staff stayed in constant contact via text

Kenneth White

Great 9 minute walk to the convention center Nice staff Plenty of restaurants to choose from near by

2nd time we stayed here May I say that and forgive me for not getting her name, but the lady and her crew who seemed to b the work horses in charge of the breakfast area every morning are awesome! On both stays, all three of us thought the same thing Over top nice in a very real way! Depending on your age she’s like the awesome aunt or grandmother that treats u like she’s doing it all to make u happy! Couldn’t wait to go down and have breakfast so I could hear her say good morning

May F

Very disappointing service and not returning One of the staff was impatient when giving me directions to the parking garage The manager did not help when my flight was delayed for the next day

This king of service – no help all on your own – would be rated fair if I only paid less than $150 per night but way below expectations when I paid up to $500 per night Stay away from this place

I had an awesome experienceThe GoodThe bed was super comfortable I like my mattresses on the stiffer side so I slept like a baby

The food was very tasty, finished everything off the plate Staff was really friendly without being in your faceThe BadI wished that there was a small fridge in my room for me to keep my drinks coldThe food was great, but the menu was very limiting and the same every nightThe good far outweighs the bad Like I said I had an awesome experience would not mind repeating

Isaac Shapiro

The rooftop bar was a nice experience and finding our way up was relatively easy with friendly staff pointing us in the right direction I would say that the rooftop deck was a bit small and felt crowded but the views were quite nice Drinks were fairly priced but nothing special

I would encourage anyone to visit and check out this spot!

Hank King

We celebrated our daughter’s (and new son-in-law’s 😉) wedding on the Envoy rooftop It was outstanding

My daughter didn’t want to have a sit down dinner but more of an elegant formal cocktail party The Envoy went above and beyond all expectations The food was delicious, the staff so friendly and helpful and the people went the extra mile to ensure this was truly a special day Special call-outs to Meghan the wedding planner and Joe the GM Spectacular views of Boston with awesome food, fantastic people who try to make your experience all that it can be…this is the place! I’ll be sending a similar thank you to Marriott international Thank you Envoy staff!!! Truly exceptional!

Wow What a stay! Everyone working here is super helpful and friendly I just got off the phone with the gentleman with the Austrian (I think) accent to get my receipt emailed

it was in my inbox before I could load the page What an absolute unit I remember him being extremely friendly to some guests that came into town to see a baseball game tooThe property is nice and the rooms are clean, modern and comfy The fitness center is really solid and open 24/7 to stay fit on the go The location is really good and a short walk from most anything you need – particularly good Chinese food in Chinatown Can’t give this hotel and the staff enough stars

I booked the “work from anywhere” package rate at this hotel The entire staff operates at a super high customer service caliber The entire staff (Valet, front desk and the restaurant employees) are all fully invested in your great guest experience

I was very well taken care of while getting a great value for nearly 2 days in this hotel I will book this package again and I will prioritize this property I used to only look at the Back Bay Marriott options and this South End foray taught me a new neighborhood! All my thanks to the hard working, kind and dedicated crew at this AC Thank you

Rebecca “Becky” Hammond

I absolutely love this place!! Pristine cleanliness, room size is great, bathroom is always a fav with the awesome large raining showerhead and the staff is always so friendly and helpful The entrance is in an odd spot right off the highway along with valet parking at the same door, regular parking you have to cross the small street they parked the valet cars on so awkward if you are not using valet service however that ever so helpful employees make up for it 😃🧳

What a delightful hotel! The history, the ambience, the attentive staff! We stayed here on a chilly January night, had a wonderful room overlooking the courtyard and the Charles We were lucky enough to enjoy some blues in the main lobby These were the only blues we experienced 😉

The only thing that was amiss, were the bathrobes I am sure this was just due to covidMake sure to check out the channel on your television in your room, about the history of the hotelThank you for a fantastic time! See you again!

I absolutely love staying at the Liberty! I just stayed for the second time and there is nothing like the welcome committee out front and coming up that escalator!! I told the other people in my group that riding up the escalator gives me such joy!Every interaction I’ve had there has been wonderful Check in with champagne, the bartenders and serving staff, the food and wine, coming down for a cup of coffee in the morning…All SO lovely! And the rooms! So cool and cozy at the same time

Comfy bed, dark, and mostly quiet 🙂 Also, was so pleased to see Molton Brown bath products! And glad that the shower items are in bulk but also sad I couldn’t take them home!!Seriously, I really really love staying there I will definitely be back!

Reasonably priced Wonderful to have a kitchen and a target across the street with a Starbucks Hubby was a bit disappointed with breakfast options

Only reason for 4 stars is because there were a few things in our room (203) that weren’t 100%: toilet paper holder is loose so TP fell into trash can or In floor Living room black out curtains didn’t close & towel rack on outside of shower glass came off

Overall this was a decent hotel and is literally just steps to Fenway There’s lots of amenities like a laundry room, rooftop pool, rooftop bar and lounge area, and a workout roomThe room I had was also fairly nice and it had a full kitchen

I had one or two small issues with the door, the shower, and the lights, but it was all pretty minor and didn’t affect me too much The one thing I didn’t care for was the noise; the doors are really heavy and you can hear them shutting in the hallway which was annoying

Love this hotel – the one bedroom suites give you the best combo of space, kitchenette and cost of any hotel in Boston Super convenient to the Longwood Medical area, contemporary vibe and friendly staff Full breakfast included, and a rooftop terrace for city viewing with a cocktail

No restaurants on site, but the area has many wonderful choices Pet friendly! Will definitely return

I love the atmosphere of the hotel The decor is very restful and pleasant The staff is friendly and helpful

The rooms are spacious I like that there is a sofa as well as a bed, and the television is wall mounted to swivel to allow viewing from different areas of the roomThere is a nice breakfast area serving Starbucks coffee, lattes, etcThe hotel is also the cleanest I’ve ever seen in my travels Every surface is spotless I’m sort of a clean fanatic, so this is a high compliment from me!I highly recommend this hotel

The staff here are super friendly, which is always welcome, and the location is fantastic, being right at Coolidge Corner The rooms are what you’d expect Alas, one of two elevators was out of order during my stay, the gym was being renovated for part of the time, I had to let the desk know the TV in my room wasn’t working, and the liner for the ice bucket wasn’t replaced when housekeeping cleaned the room

Still worth it, based on location and the staff’s dispositions, but be prepared for services to lag by a bit

Very impressed by Courtyard Brookline MA: the attentive, caring front desk staff handled guest needs during big snowstorm with such grace and competency Their shuttle driver was also very good, ferrying folks to nearby medical centers in difficult driving conditions Our stay here has cemented our intent to stay lifelong Marriott members

My best friend and I stayed here to go on a quick little trip Every staff member we encountered was wonderful and very kind The location of the hotel is very convenient near a lot of things to do

Room service dinner and breakfast was excellent! We didn’t get to explore a ton of the hotel as our stay was short, but the lobby was comfortable and it also had a lobby bar The entrance to the restaurant was also convenient, the doors were right next to the entrance to the hotelMy only complaint is how the walls in this hotel are pretty thin and the bed was just standard The pillows were way too soft for my liking (even with two) but overall very comfortableThis hotel isn’t one I’d usually stay at since it is more on the pricey side, but our relaxing stay was definitely very worth it

Incredible Marathon Experience! The hotel went above and beyond to make my Boston Marathon experience unforgettable and extremely comfortable The location is great, just around the corner from the marathon bus pickup and multiple T stations The staff were universally welcoming and went above and beyond to accommodate runners and spectators with coffee, fruit, and sports drinks the morning of the race

Plus they were kind enough to surprise the runners with a little check in bag, and better yet a finishing plaque upon completing the race and returning to the hotel A special day was made even more special thanks to this hotel team!

Amazing location! We stayed in two executive one-bedroom suites The rooms were big and they had two bathrooms each The lobby is classy and more modern than many other Ritz’s on the each coast

What was severely lacking was the service It was definitely under staffed During our 48 hour visit, the entrance door was only opened for us once No potter was greeting us and took our luggage as we got out of the car, even though we were the only car at the front Room service was shockingly sloppy! My son built a “fort” with the sofa cushions the night before It was left untouched the next day My toiletries and the blow dryer were scattered on the counter I had to call for the bath robes because they were not provided the first night Only one of the two suites we reserved had refreshments and a welcome note for us

Sharing is caring!
