Slightly (21 miles) away from downtown LA scene, this hotel proved to be a gem We were in town for Super Bowl weekend and wanted to stay a slight ways out from the crowdsFor 1/2 the Marriott points other hotels wanted, we got the same service, if not better at this hotel

The hotel was clean, rooms clean and spacious We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite, with a balcony over the pool and mountainsSince the hotel sits in an almost residential area, if you got out early, traffic to/from LA was a breeze Now if your a late riser, then you can expect that 21 mile trip to take about an hour😂They have a pool, which did not use, as friends had a house 3 miles away with a heated pool, and one day was spend at Santa Monica BeachWe loved the suite because it had a separated bedroom from the rest of the room Suite came with refrigerator and microwave Bathroom sink are was tight, as only 1 person could be at the 1 sink bowl at a time We disinfected the room because as we hung our clothes, we noticed dust in the closets, which appears nobody been cleaning/dusting in theirBeware: You pay $10 per night for parking in an open lot There is no security out there or a gateRight outside the hotel, they have a hiking trail that goes up the mountainsWalmart is about a 5 minute drive so you can stick up on beverages and things versus paying hotel prices for these same itemsOverall, we would stay here again Plenty of shopping in the area and an easy commute to most attractions (again…if you get out early)

Nice view, perfect for a late night smoke and feel the vibes Not that I do it, I wish I could but my fiancé won’t let me Easy to navigate square building and a large work out room

Staff is friendly and rooms are clean Free mint chocolate, you know the Andes one? Green tiny bricks, that’s a mistake @Marriott, I will empty that whole fish bowl!

DEVIN DUNCAN

Updating my review, finally got in touch with the GM who finally did agree to give compensation So i raised my review alittle I wish it would have been easier but he said they are using my experience to train the staff, so maybe there wont be a next time with others

Aweful service from start to finish from reservation mistakes, to rooms not ready at check in, to coffee being made wrong, to dirty floors and tables (see pictures) and no one cares once they have your money they could care less I have talked to agm and GM!!! Well sorta the GM has yet to respond as obviously my issues do not appear to be a priorty stay anywhere else if you work hard for your money You have been warned

I really enjoyed my 3 night’s stay at this property We were college shopping for my son and this hotel was a good central place for us to stay Our time here felt like home

I really enjoyed the atmosphere downstairs The little restaurant food was great The sever Paul was in my opinion one of the best servers I’ve ever had He was moving so fast getting the food out making small talk and just being a pleasant positive person, then in a flash, he was off to do room service Downstairs there was a family reunion and there were other families there watching the Dodger game It was just a fun lively atmosphere Every single employee I interacted with was stellar My room was clean and so was the lobby I’m a stickler for cleanliness and I was satisfied One thing is for sure, we will be back to visit this place Thank you staff at Embassy Suites for making our stay so pleasant

Highly recommend the embassy suites in La Brea, California to anyone looking for a VIP like experience and stay for affordable prices Never a disappointment staying at this embassy hotel A big plus is the free self parking, the location is convenient with plenty of amenities is within walking distance, to the mall, and shipping of any kind

The complementary breakfast is absolutely better than most restaurants out there It far out performs any hotels out there that offer free breakfast Very family friendly and the rooms can host any family size in my opinion They are clean, well stocked, and roomy It has a microwave, a mini fridge, a sink, ironing board, iron, hair dryer, etc Highly recommend this hotel

Tia Nathan

Room was great, clean, and spacious Stayed with a large wedding party and even tho there were other events, it wasn’t noisy when I went to sleep I guess the walls were pretty thick! They had free cocktails in the evening and free breakfast every morning

Staff was super nice and helpfulRooms were very niceOnly a couple suggestions, invest in something for the smoke oder, probably from the past

It’s still pretty strongOur room had an iron burn on a chair and a pretty big red stain on the carpet and our pretty bedspread had a cigarette burn on itThe pool was so clean and refreshingSheets were very niceCarpets in the hallways need to be replaced

Overall good value for the price although facility needs some work/upgrade Some issues with housekeeping over a two week stay but generally good service Breakfast wasn’t too appealing but looked similar to other hotels that offer free breakfast

I chose to visit local coffee shops instead so would prefer a lower rate without breakfast Still, all said, a good value compared to other hotel/motels in the area especially if you plan most of time out and aboutI do find it odd that I received a no-reply email from someone in Guest Relations thanking me for my positive feedback (I think based on feedback directly requested by them which mirrored Google review) but no mention of my negative comments Seems like a stock answer and they don’t actually read feedback If you don’t read feedback, you can’t make improvements

We love this hotel we chose to stayed here for 7 days while on our Disney vacation and we loved it and would recommend it The freeway entrance is just up the street and only takes 20 min to Disney and 30 min to Huntington Beach, the roads were not too busy didn’t experience any bad traffic There was 4 of us and we had a one king and a pull out sofa room and it fits us perfectly and the beds and pillows were very comfortable

The clerks were very pleasant and professional and the staffs were very friendly and helpful It is a cashless hotel just a heads up The pool was great couldn’t get my kids out and so was she breakfast There is a bunch of stores, gym and restaurants around the hotel The parking lot gets filled up fast if you return late but what can you do if a place is very popular We enjoyed our stay and would come back next time if close by our vacation spots Thank you

I’ve frequented Fairfield Inns and was pleasantly surprised that this one was different from the others I’ve booked with It’s more of a motel style – with individual rooms with doors that lead outside So, no doorman

The difference is that this place feels safe and secure! When I checked in, the front desk employee was friendly and welcomed me for my first stay at this Fairfield Inn location (I am a silver elite member) With my reservation, I requested a room on a low floor and I was provided with one The rooms are great and the bathroom are gorgeous Complimentary breakfast was also given, and it was hot breakfast instead of the grab-n-go type of breakfast I’m satisfied with this beautiful place 🙂

Jared Stump

Stayed here with my wife while visiting Disneyland It was only a 20-minute drive and about half the cost of the hotels around Disney I was a bit surprised that this hotel had outdoor corridors; I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a Marriott hotel that didn’t have indoor corridors

I was pleasantly surprised that it was quiet inside the room, even with people walking by outside and the location next to a busy freewayThe whole property felt a bit dated but it was clean and the amenities were good I liked the exercise room in the casita by the pool TV in room was very smallOverall, it’s a good hotel and if you’re looking to save a few bucks it’s worth staying here

First time staying hereWe had a two queen bed room Plenty of room and a mini refrigerator

The room seemed up to date to me and was in great shapeI didn’t encounter the housekeeping staff, but found our room nicely clean when we returned from our convention daysStaff throughout the facility were friendly and helpfulWe patronized the ice cream/sweets shop, Starbucks and their convenience store The prices were higher than back home, but I’ve never been to California before, so I don’t know local pricing And I know you’re paying extra for convenienceIt I return to Anaheim, I will definitely stay here again!

John Ritchie

The rooms are really nice but the beds are pretty hard The food at the restaurants was great and the beer selection was good too Nice having a Starbucks and 3 places to eat in the hotel

Not crazy over priced either The lobby level pool was small but nice We had a great time here The shuttle to Disneyland was also great We will be back for sure!

Thinh Luu

Rooms was mediocre It was clean enough but we expected better from a 4 star hotel Front desks were nice and helpful

Real Starbucks right in the Lobby which was a huge bonus We reserved a King bed but only got a Queen bed Parking is ~28 a day for self parking All pools had no life guard Shuttle to Disney was ~6 for adults and a little cheaper for kids

VERY nice Surprisingly it was one of the cheapest places we could find close to Disney our last trip and I must say it’s the nicest hotel we have stayed in by Disney! Clean, nice BIG room! Nice lobby and great perks like a breakfast place and a restaurant for dinner It had gated parking which was great if you need to leave your car for a while

This will be our new go to hotel for our Disney trips!

reaper265

The property is amazing with a coffee shop bar and restaurant on site I booked a 2 queen suite with sofa pull out, basically a 1 bedroom apartment, it has a fridge and microwave which were very useful to my family of 5 on our trip to Disneyland The pool and spa were clean and refreshing for our mid day break from the park

Above all else for me, the reason why they have received 5 stars is the onsite management and service I’m not used to booking vacation stays, ended up having some mishaps in my booking process with a third party The Manger, Henry was very understating and very helpful on more than one occasion, total life saver I will be returning to this hotel on my future trips to Disney ART shuttle stop is out front witch brings you directly to the front gates of both theme parks, very convenient for my family and I

Ken Martin

The hotel was great! The pool was great! Although the pavement around the pool was QUITE hot when we were there The hosts at the front were very kind and very courteous The parking is $25 per day

Beds were quite stiff Just be aware of that The hotel was very quiet Of course, we had a suite with a separate bedroom, so possibly we just didn’t hear the noise outside the door But being on the top floor, it helped not have to hear noise above us as well All-in-all, it wasn’t a bad trip It was a pleasant stay

Will definitely be staying here again! Thank you

Great property, friendly staff, clean spacious rooms and comfy beds Would definitely stay here again

too bad it’s not closer to DisneylandJocelyn helped make our reservation and she was so helpful and made accommodations for our family even though it was a last minute booking, I really appreciate her diligence and caring personality Great customer service! 👌

The check in was easy The location was on a main street close to stores as well as eating places The 2 bedroom was large

We were on the bottom floor We didn’t hear any noise from the second floor The cleanliness of the door frames, window frames as well as the curtains were lacking attention of NOT being cleaned On the website the pictures show a fireplace We couldn’t figure out how to use the fireplace We called the front desk and we were told that we would have to pay $1000 for a log!!!! Say WHAT?! We were also told that they were out of logs at that moment That information should be stated on the website that you HAVE to pay extra money to use the fireplace that they are advertising and it is NOT FREE! Breakfast is from 7:00 -9:00 very small window

In general we had nice short stay Yet the fire alarm in our room was out of battery and the hotel is fully occupied that there’s no room to change to, so we had to fall into sleep hearing the alarm beeping all night! Other than that, it’s a nice hotel with good price and they offer free continental breakfast! Prepare some $1 tips to the lady who’ll make your egg sausage and toast breakfast! Nice looking small pool and jacuzzi yet i had to work a bit so didn’t get to enjoy!

This place gets a 5 for all hotels in its Price Range It’s close to pretty much everything you need in Anaheim The room was big and clean

The parking was GATED! Which is big time for me, I got a lot of stuff in my car The breakfast was complimentary-no cooked food but I won’t let that negatively affect the rating… complimentary is what it is But the rest of the place was awesome Pool was clean, jacuzzi was clean and both were not full They do a good job managing this hotel

Hannah Vlieger

This was the best hotel experience we’ve had in a long time, and certainly at this price point Staff was kind and gave water bottles when we needed them, breakfast was included and easy to pick upWe loved our room–it was spacious, extremely clean, and updated

We had a very comfortable king bed, excellent air conditioning, and such good blackout curtains that both of us slept in two hours later than usual! It was refreshing to use the warm, beautiful pool and hot tub We wish we could have stayed for longer and walked over to the neat nickel arcade nearby! We will definitely visit this place again when we’re in town Pick here if you’re on the fence for lodging like I was!

Tien Quach

pros: very friendly staff, check in was really fast, price was good for the area room was nice and bright with huge king bed hand sanitizer freely distributed in lobby and room

great location, near all attractions we wanted to gocons: wall is thin, so you probably hear the neighbors towels are rough, worst than dollar store towels i developed skin allergic reaction after stay, but can’t confirm from hotel sheets, so questionable cleanliness

We stayed at this hotel in their 1 bedroom studio room for about a week Kaleb did a great job as the front desk employee who helped us check in and also check out Guia kept in touch with us about a possible rock & play for our younger toddler for her to sleep in, and also was great about addressing our early morning needs promptly & clearly as a family of 4, with 2 young toddlers

On a Sunday afternoon, when we were inviting family members to come by so that we cook lunch for them, Jake, was the polite employee who replaced the kitchen light bulb & TV remote professionally and quickly Finally, Justin H was polite and friendly as the front desk employee who assisted with providing change for the laundry machines and also confirming that there was free hot brewed coffee In addition, the hotel provided a sturdy and comfortable king size mattress and functioning appliances in the kitchen If our family ever wants to visit our extended family in Orange County again, we will consider this hotel once more

TB

Rooms are old but decent Beds aren’t terrible but aren’t great The continental breakfast was surprisingly very good

Staff is friendly and helpful The pool was pretty gross It appears they think a pool that is milky in color and not being able to see the bottom is sign of a well maintained pool They need to fire whoever is responsible for the pool maintenance Also I informed many employees about the outside security door not properly locking and it was never addressed There are too many other options for you to choose to stay here I won’t make that mistake again So they respond with a form letter response saying how thankful they are for my review as they CARE about me! Here we are and the door is still not secure and the pool is still disgusting You don’t care, just about my money Typical

J C

1st time here Booked reservations for 3 nights A/C not functioning

Notified front desk twice 1st guy said he’d have some check on it, which I don’t think he followed through since he was getting off his shift Second gentleman, Isaac Reed was apologetic and did have a maintenance person inspect and A/C completely out Got upgraded to a one BR at no extra costMr Reed, you have restored my faith in this hotel! Thank you I would have given 4 stars if the elevators didn’t keep breaking down I may consider staying again provided I can get accommodations on the 1st floor with a functional A/C

Lets start Our room safe was non functional upon arrival, which was fixed by the maintenance guy later Our ironing board is was broken, which the staff replaced with a full sized one

The fire alarm ran out of batteries and started beeping around 2 am, when the maintenance guy had to come in our room and replace them In addition, there was a cockroach the crawled right into our room Would not recommend

I have been staying at this hotel consistently for a very long time now The front desk receptionist ” Destiny ” , I must strongly commend She has gone out of her way to make my stay here the most wonderful experience

!She should be observed by her manager as an ” Exemplary Employee “

Check in was easy, staff was very accommodating, I have health issues which allow me a service dog, staff was very understanding and treated my dog with respect and care The bartender came and brought my dog some cold water to drink, which I thought was very sweet! Room was beautiful! Perfect! Best sleep I have had in weeks! Beds are heaven! Very clean rooms and great staff make for a 5 star review I found my new fave local hotel! Thank you Doubletree for treating us so kindly

Only two housekeepers for the whole hotel Check-in was 3-4 hours late so I had to find something to do for those hours for the whole family I got an email at 3p saying I could start my virtual check in so we were pretty surprised when we got to the hotel that there was a long line of people being told their rooms weren’t ready

Also called for blankets, pillows, and towels because the room was under stocked They never showed up, assuming due to low staffingRoom was otherwise clean and well kept

The room was very expensive When I asked for extra coffee packets for the room the attendant said they had no more and I would need to order from the restaurant I said a hotel this large and no extra coffee? She said we have decaf

The guy behind her said let me go look in the back, 5 minutes later he came back with 2′ packets This is only an example of how rude and unhelpful the staff was For $250 a night you would think they would have more professional service

This hotel is fine

Not great, not terrible Fine Comfortable bed, clean room Decor was sparse, not as “put together” as most Holiday Inns Grounds were a bit overgrown Staff was friendly enough, and efficient Location is fine, but not great Again It’s just fine If you need a place to put your head at night, it’s less expensive than some in the area, but it’s not somewhere you’d say, “I can’t wait to go back there!”

It was good for one night The only issues were, the walls are very thin, so a lot noise with plumbing and next door visitors The shower was great

Unfortunately, due to COVID, the breakfast was terrible Elevators are kind of broken down The lady at the front desk was a little rude last night Not a welcoming atmosphere Overall, it was okay

Stayed for four nights on a short family vacation Pros: recently remodeled rooms, friendly staff, decent breakfast Cons: not enough staff to keep the hotel clean; there was a horrible vomit smell near the elevator for almost three days of our stay, pool water was cloudy and full of debris throughout our stay, a used bandaid was stuck on a table by the pool the entire time we were there, and due to hotel allowing guests of the shady Howard Johnson next door to use the hotel’s pool all of the pool towels disappeared

I think the employees are trying but the hotel’s management could do better to pay employees a livable wage as to not have a staff shortage and properly clean and maintain the property to the brand’s standard

Stayed here for a week and a half, room was very very nice abd recently remodeled, the ac unit was a bit loud The breakfast was always great especially the cinnamon rolls The staff was always friendly and answered any questions

My only cons were the relatively limited parking and that the building has only 1 elevator, so it gets a little cozy during busy times

Gentleman at the counter was pleasant and professional and got us registered quickly, which is nice after a 6 hour drive Lobby alway smelled fresh, unless it was breakfast time, then it smelled like bacon and eggs The complimentary breakfast has a lot of choices: pancakes, scrambled eggs or omelets, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, cinnamon rolls, orange juice, coffee, yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels and more

No screens on windows, so we could not open the windows to let cool air inNo fan in bathroom, which is a must Wifi was super slow or did not workWhen I booked room, I asked to be away from elevator, we were 2 doors from it We had to call room service for an issue and they responded very quickly Yes, I would stay here again
